Tinubu Postpones Ogun Trip, Begins Four-State Visit From Plateau

President Bola Tinubu postpones Ogun visit, heads to Plateau to commiserate with victims of attacks, then continues a four-state trip covering Lagos, Ogun and Bayelsa.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has postponed his scheduled trip to Iperu in Ogun State to flag off operations at the Gateway International Cargo Airport, opting instead to begin a four-state visit in Jos.

The President will first visit Plateau State to commiserate with the government and people over recent gun attacks that claimed the lives of residents.

From Plateau, Tinubu will proceed to Lagos State to observe the Good Friday holiday.

On Saturday, April 4, the President is expected to travel to Ogun State for the commissioning of the Gateway International Cargo Airport and the inauguration of two commercial aircraft for export and import operations aimed at boosting the state’s economy.

He will also inaugurate the new edifice of the Federal Operations Unit of the Nigerian Customs Service and its operational vehicles.

Tinubu will later return to Lagos to continue the Easter holiday, during which he is scheduled to commission infrastructure projects undertaken by the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The projects include the Ojota/Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information System Building, a multi-agency complex named after the President, and a school complex.

Before returning to Abuja, Tinubu will also visit Bayelsa State on April 10 to commission projects completed by Governor Duoye Diri.
