Nigeria Formed Police Unit Police Replacement and Rotation

The Federal Government has reassured Nigerians of intensified efforts to improve security across the country following recent attacks.

The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening security across Nigeria, urging citizens to remain calm amid ongoing challenges.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, gave the assurance while speaking with journalists after Jumaat prayers at Yahaya Road Mosque.

He acknowledged recent security concerns, particularly multiple explosions in Maiduguri, Borno State, but stressed that the government was taking decisive steps to prevent a recurrence.

Idris said the administration of Bola Tinubu was working diligently to ensure safety across all regions of the country.

He called on Nigerians to remain united and prayerful, noting that collective efforts were essential to overcoming the nation’s security challenges.

The minister urged both Muslims and non-Muslims to embrace unity, especially in the spirit of Ramadan, and continue acts of kindness and discipline beyond the fasting period.

He emphasised that national progress depended on cooperation, shared responsibility, and adherence to positive values.

Idris also highlighted ongoing reforms by the government, stating that while they may be challenging, they are designed to benefit all Nigerians.

He added that Nigeria’s international standing continues to improve, calling for sustained unity to match growing global respect.

Earlier, the Chairman of Yahaya Road Mosque, Garba Ibrahim, urged Muslim faithful to uphold discipline, honesty, and devotion, stressing the importance of leaving a positive legacy.
