Nigeria to Reclaim Lost Glory Soon, Says Ondo Assembly Speaker in Christmas Message

December 25, 2025

Chief Olamide Oladiji, Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, has expressed optimism that Nigeria will soon reclaim its lost glory among the comity of nations.

Oladiji made the assertion in his Christmas goodwill message issued on Thursday in Akure, urging Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayer, unity and collective commitment to national progress.

He called on citizens to use the Christmas season to promote peace, tolerance and mutual understanding, regardless of ethnic, religious or political differences.

The speaker encouraged Nigerians to emulate the teachings of Jesus Christ, stressing that faith, hope and love remain central to the true meaning of Christmas.

“As we joyfully celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, I extend my warmest Christmas greetings to everyone,” Oladiji said.

He urged individuals, corporate organisations, faith-based groups and community leaders to support the less privileged and ensure that the joy of the season reaches every household.

Oladiji also commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for what he described as notable achievements in infrastructure, healthcare, education and security across Ondo State.

While wishing residents a peaceful Christmas and a prosperous New Year, the speaker prayed for renewed strength, divine favour and sustained development for Ondo State and Nigeria at large.
