Soludo Pledges Quality Education and Accessible Healthcare as Cornerstones of Anambra Development
ANAMBRA, Sept. 14, 2025 – Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to transform lives through strategic investments in education and healthcare, describing them as the foundation of sustainable progress.
Soludo made the pledge on Saturday during the inauguration of the Enugu-Otu Aguleri General Hospital in Anambra East Local Government Area. He also inspected an ongoing road project and commissioned a primary school built by the community and handed over to the state government.
The governor stressed that education and healthcare remained central to his administration’s development agenda, noting that no society could thrive without an educated population and a healthy workforce.
He recalled his distress at the beginning of his tenure when residents had to travel long distances to access healthcare due to years of neglect. According to him, that promise to deliver social infrastructure has now been fulfilled with a hospital, a school, an improved water scheme, and an access road for the community.
“Our commitment remains: ‘One State, One People and One Agenda,’ where no one is left behind,” Soludo declared.
Mr Ifeanyi Chinweze, Chairman of Anambra East Local Government Area, commended the governor for linking Aguleri Mainland and Aguleri Island with the new road. He explained that vehicles could not access the community during rainy seasons before the construction.
Chinweze pledged the continued support of the communities for Soludo’s administration, describing the projects as a “turning point” in their development journey. GMTNewsng
