Ahead of next month’s Presidential and National Assembly, and March 11 Governorship and State Assembly elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has granted an extension of the deadline for the collection of Permanent Voter’s Card, PVC at INEC Local Government Offices nationwide.

This was made known by the National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Mr. Festus Okoye.

Mr. Okoye who expressed satisfaction with the level of progress made so far across the country as more Nigerians troop out daily to collect their PVCs said this was the last extension of the exercise.

“The ongoing collection of PVCs nationwide will therefore continue and end on the 5th of February, 2023. This is the second time the Commission is extending PVC collection nationwide and this will be the last extension of the exercise”, Festus Okoye said in a Press Statement.

The Commission further extended time for collection by additional two hours and will begin at 9 am and end at 5 pm including Saturdays and Sundays.

The Commission warned those that engaged in double and multiple registration not to visit any of the Commission’s office as their’s were not printed. GMTNews
